Herend Reaching Frog

An adorable Herend frog figurine painted in a range of wonderful greens, with limbs outstretched as if readying itself to leap. In 1874, a Herend artist picked up his tools to try to mimic a Chinese plate’s fish scale design, beginning the tradition of the illustrious fishnet pattern seen here adorning the frog’s body. Handmade and handpainted porcelain from Hungary with 24k gold accents.
