Slicing through the water at speeds up to 22 mph, this bottlenose dolphin is all fluidity and motion. The magical illusion of the figurine is that the viewer appear to be joining the dolphin on his underwater journey. To create this, the artists at Herend have once again developed a new painting technique. The time they have taken inspiration from the world of watercolors with its inherent diffused lines and various shades of transparency, thereby creating the deliberate effect that we are seeing this fast-moving object across a watery expanse. Handmade and handpainted porcelain from Hungary, with 24k gold accents. Limited edition of 150.
