The alchemists considered the Phoenix to be the philosopher’s stone. This is also a special connection with porcelain, as the European invention of “white gold” can also be attributed to alchemists. Although they wanted to produce gold, they succeeded in making porcelain. This fabulous vase features one of the most meticulously crafted paintings, faithfully recalling the ancient myth of the rebirth of the phoenix.
