In 1860, the story of Baroness Rothschild losing her pearl necklace in her Vienna garden and it being found hanging from a tree branch surrounded by birds inspired the creation of the Rothschild Bird pattern. The design was so well-received that similar designs were produced by almost every major European porcelain manufacturer. This covered urn celebrates Rothschild Bird and all of its many moods and was introduced to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the pattern. Featuring all 12 motifs as well as all of the border colors that have been presented over the years, the urn is inscribed with a special commemorative anniversary logo which reads “Rothschild Bird 150th Anniversary”. Limited edition of 150.
